Dates: June 6-14, 2026

Whole Spirit participants and group chaperones will stay at a cozy surf hotel (Ali’s Surf Camp) in the gated community of ProCab in Cabarete, Dominican Republic. We will spend our week volunteering with Mariposa Foundation (the largest safe space for girls in Latin America). There we will help facilitate fun filled activities for the local Dominican kids as well as cultural immersion experiences for our participants. Our local amigos love sharing their culture with us by teaching us in a Bachata dance class, a “Dominican” Spanish workshop, and playing their two favorite pastimes - baseball and dominoes! Each morning starts with fresh island fruit and other local produce followed by a large delicious Dominican lunch that is shared alongside our new Dominican friends. After our work day, we will head back to the casa to partake in our afternoon activities that will include: yoga lessons, self defense class, swimming and surfing!

On the days that we are not working at the summer camp, we will be volunteering alongside local residents and their coastal restoration efforts. To reward everyone for their hard work, we have planned excursions and adventures that allow us to explore the beautiful island and culture. After each dinner, we will have our group “Spirit Session” where we can reflect on our daily experiences and encounters, focusing on how we use our minds, bodies, and whole spirit
